| Scheduling Time on Computers

If you have a bank of computers in your classroom, you may be inclined to assign computer time to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to use computers. It is important to remember that students, assigned several PBLs, are capable of making decisions about how and when to use the computer to complete the tasks. You may want to have a computer sign-up sheet that allows students to schedule when they want to use the computer. If you have 4 or more computers, you may specify one or two as being available for students to use for short periods of time as the need arises when they do not have scheduled time. This ensures that students can seamlessly use the computer throughout the day as an aide in the learning process.
