It's easy to say you'd do more with technology if you had more or better equipment; but the reality is, a lot can be done with a little and a little can be done with a lot! This section will allow the teacher to explore issues related to hardware and software and to consider existing hardware and software in order to make better use of it in the instructional environment.

The topic areas of Step 3 include: an Introduction, Placement of Computers in a School, Number of Computers, Hi-Tech/Lo-Tech, Platform, Placement of Computers in a Classroom, Scheduling Time on Computers, Networks, Technology other than Computers, and Software Must-Haves.
