Teachers teach from their belief system. One cannot mandate beliefs. To effectively infuse technology into the instructional program, teachers must identify their own beliefs and in a reduced-risk environment, challenge those beliefs to grow. In this section, teachers will be faced with 9 areas to explore. Within these areas, teachers will be given several stances from which to choose, ideas for technology infusion given those stances, answers to commonly-faced challenges, and topics to write about in their journals.
The topic areas of Step 1 include: an Introduction, Curriculum, Classroom Setup, Role of the Teacher, Role of the Student, Instructional Activities, Assessment, Use of Timeframes, Participatory Structures, and Pedagogical Approach.
